As a kickoff to IPoly’s first IBelong Week of the new school year, students contributed to an affirmation wall. Before school, during lunch, and after school, a mobile wall with sticky notes of student and teacher-created affirmations was displayed. Students were encouraged to take a note with an affirmation that resonated with them. They were also encouraged to write and leave an affirmation for someone else. This interactive activity added to IPoly’s community environment, fostering moral support and connection to one another as the students went about their school day. IBelong Week occurs monthly with interactive activities for all students on campus.
