Softball Recap for Tuesday, April 22nd
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Western Christian, Southlands Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Capistrano Valley Christian. The result was nothing new for Southlands Christian, who have now won 13 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Analisa Guerrero was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Taya Marvel, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Southlands Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Capistrano Valley Christian only posted an OBP of .118.
Southlands Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.
