    When to Apply
Students apply in 8th grade to enter as freshmen. Students transferring from other high schools should submit high school transcripts for review prior to applying to determine eligibility (spaces are limited).

    Entrance Exam

Application deadline for lottery scheduled in April: March 1, 2023

Lottery notifications begin: Late April, 2023

136 freshman students will be selected to fill the freshman class. Students that apply by the early and regular deadlines are considered on a first come, first served basis, according to the receipt date of the application. The lottery phase consists of set of applicants that have met initial requirements and passed the entrance exam. After the lottery, applications will continue to be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once spaces are filled, a waiting list will be created.

Application Process for Transfer Students (students already in high school)
IPoly accepts applications from students that are transferring from other high schools year-round on a first come, first served basis. Students are admitted at the beginning of each semester. Acceptance of high school transfer students is contingent on whether IPoly has openings, due to pre-existing waiting lists.

    Notification
Due to the high volume of applications, patience is greatly appreciated. Applicants will be notified via mail regarding any missing documents. Eligible students with completed applications will be invited to an entrance exam.

    Limited Openings
Space is limited to 136 students per grade level. Once the spaces are filled, remaining student names will then be drawn to create a waiting list. Students placed on the waiting list will be contacted once there is an opening.

The waiting list will be valid through the next school year. Students that are not admitted as freshmen will have an option to reapply for the following year, and maintain their ranking on the waiting list; they will not have to re-test.

    Requirements
IPoly does not charge tuition, however, students must apply and meet eligibility requirements (including a two-year 2.5 academic GPA, acceptable discipline history, and recommendations), and pass an entrance exam. Detailed requirements are explained in the application. Students may live in any city and attend the school.
