IPoly's students represent over 40 cities in the Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino counties. To assist with transportation, IPoly distributes a carpool directory to interested families each summer before school begins in the fall. Participants coordinate carpooling by contacting one another directly.
Public Transportation Options:
Plan your commute using public transportation with Google Maps Transit
HopSkipDrive is a parent-run ride share program. You may think of it as carpooling through the use of an app similar to Uber or Lyft. Drivers are screened and authorized to drive students. Each ride is monitored in real time.
Parents Dropping Students Off:
Parents must pull into a parking spot to drop off and also pick up their student; Cal Poly police can ticket drivers that do not follow this policy. Students may be dropped off/picked up on the west side of the school building only. Drivers should follow the traffic circulation map below.
Students that drive are required to display a valid parking permit to avoid citation. Permits may be purchased at vending machines in university parking lots. Discounted annual parking permits may be purchased at Cal Poly's CLA Building #98.
